Exceptional and Extraordinary Work
Paul D. Pickens II Research Foundation is a global non-profit health education organization since 1997 and has been among the first to bring Chigung into Hospitals on the West Coast of the United States. We developed innovative Chigung Health and Wellness programs for Marin General Hospital and Novato Kaiser Hospital, and gave Chigung lectures to doctors and nurses at the San Francisco V.A. Medical Center, bringing Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) into hospitals.
Our diploma program provided a truly exceptional professional education in Nei Gong and chigung, Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi Ch’uan and Tui Na massage. Our classes and clients served as a diverse and demanding training ground for our students, while also providing affordable health care services to the community. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient and profound healing art that originated more than 3,000 years ago. It comprises a number of therapeutic practices, among them Tai Chi Ch’uan, Chigung and Tui Na massage, which have long, proven efficacy in treating a wide range of diseases and maintaining health. At the core of TCM is an understanding that the body, mind and human spirit are integrally connected; that restoring and maintaining energetic balance are essential to health and well-being. What the Chinese discovered through practical experience over many centuries is increasingly being validated by modern science. Ancient wisdom merges with Modern Science. Today, TCM is practiced side-by-side with Western medicine in numerous hospitals and clinics in China and, increasingly, in the United States.
The mission of P.D.P. II Research Foundation is to improve health and elevate consciousness worldwide, by raising awareness of the profound health benefits of self-directed healing systems. We also aim to provide exemplary professional education and quality patient care in the ancient Chinese healing arts and disseminate these powerful techniques throughout the world.
P.D.P. II Research Foundation’s objective is to be an international center of healing arts, which provides an ecologically sustainable medicine and to shift the paradigm of suffering and illness to a positive state, which emphasizes joy, compassion, generosity and vibrant good health.
